How can I take my ex wife off the beneficiary of my home if I die

Posted on: 22nd May, 2009 04:20 pm
My wife and I bought a home prior to marriage, but then divorced and she signed a warranty deed, however she still is the beneficiary if I die. How can I remove her and make my son beneficiary
Hi rtwings,

I guess your wife is the beneficiary of your trust. You'll have to revoke the trust and then form a new trust with your son as the beneficiary. It would be better if you consult an attorney in this regard and take his opinion.

Thanks

i will say you can change your deed and allot your son as your beneficiary

as suggested by james, it is possible. you revoke the current one & form new trust in favour of your son.

consult attorney for guidance.
