aimfortherag Joined: 02 Nov 2009 Posts: 1 1.29 Dollars($)	Posted: Mon Nov 02, 2009 10:31 am    Post subject: mortgae and deed in both names Like 0 Dislike 0 my husband of 6years, left me 6 weeks ago, my father owned our house for 25 years, then deed it to me 8years ago, my husband was added to the deed 3years ago. i want to be assured, that if something happened to me, that my father would still have a roof over his head, andwhat must i do in the interim, as divorce has not come up, yet?

You can ask your husband to sign a quitclaim deed and transfer his portion of the property to you. Moreover, you can add your father to the property deed.
