can a deed to a farm which was signed 21 years prior (1988) to the death of the farmer be filed within 16 hours of the farmer's death (2009) and be legal? There is a will that gives all the personal property and real estate to other family members and the will was dated 1993.

Hi rocketgrad

A deed cannot be filed after the grantor's death. It would have been better if the property deed would have been filed before the grantor's death. I would suggest you to contact an attorney and take his opinion in this regard.

Thanks.
