Hi shanet,

You will have to ask your wife to sign a quitclaim deed and transfer the property in your name. Once she does so, you should notarize and record the deed at the county recorder's office where the property is located.

Thanks

Even though quitclaim deed is sufficient for this transaction, you are advised to mention this transaction in your divorce decree. It will be helpful for you in your forthcoming future.
