Mikey Guest	Posted: Tue Jan 10, 2012 10:21 am    Post subject: Grantor Mortgage Like 0 Dislike 0 Can the Grantor..do a quitdeed to the Grantee...and the Mortgage still be in the Grantors name. ie the Grantor is still responsible for the Mortgage

You can add or remove parties from title, but not on the loan. you can only refinance or sell to remove/add a party. Be cautious and contact your lender, as transferring ownership can trigger the due on sale clause, calling your entire loan due.
