Compare Mortgage Quotes

I currently own a house with one of my buddies. He is also engaged to my sister. I would like to transfer my half of the mortgage and title to my sister. How do I go about doing this?

If you are on the loan, its not that easy. You can transfer title by a quitclaim deed, but you would still be attached to the mortgage. So either you could just take your self off title and be on the loan, which really makes no sense, or you would have to refinance to completely remove you from the mortgage loan. Good Luck

As far as the property title is concerned, you need to sign a quitclaim deed and transfer it to your sister. As far as the mortgage is concerned, your sister will have to refinance it in her name.
