I had my brother put a house in his name for me back in 1999. Now he refuses to sign it over to me. I have paid the mortgage and all the taxes since 1999. What can I do legally to get my house back or all the money I've put into it since 1999. I asked him to sign a quit claim deed and he refused. Do I have any legal standing. I put the money down on the house paid for everything. He has put nothing into this home, I still pay the mortgage and taxes. Please help, I need legal advice.

Hi roscoedreamer,

As the property is in your brother's name, I don't think you would have any legal standing in this case. However, if your brother had forced you to transfer the property in his name, then it would be considered as a fraud. You can contact an attorney and check out if you can reverse the deed in your name.
