I bought this home free and clear. Paid cash for it. I put my husband on the house because it made our taxes less, but now he is dying and I don't want anything to cause me to loose this home. It is all I have. What do I do? It is just a small bungalow home with 2 bedrooms and a bath. He has his own home and it is in his name only and his children. I'm having trouble with his kids now and afraid they will try and do something stupid.

Welcome cbaty,

You can ask your husband to sign a quitclaim deed and transfer the property to you. This will make you the sole owner of the property.
