I have since obtained a mortgage but, I want to have my name on the deed. I don't know what paperwork I need, or where I can obtain them, or what I have to do. Thank you in advance, Jean

You need to file an affidavit of heirship and transfer the property in your name. You will have to visit the county recorder's office in order to file the affidavit. You need to carry all the relevant documents which states that you have inherited the property. Feel free to ask if you have further queries. Sussane
