My two sisters and I inherited Dads house and 75 acres surrounding it. I and husband of 25 years and 1 sister with boyfriend of 3 months want to live in the house. This sister has been in and out of jail for years, is a convicted felon. I, on the other hand, have never been arrested and am married to a Sheriffs deputy. I feel that as the more responsible family, we should live there and be good caretakers. This is becoming an ugly fight, something Dad would never have wanted. What to do, what to do?

If your Dad has will then it will clear cut mension the claims of all.
If you have no will made then you all are equally benefited with his property

As stated above, read into the will (if there is one). Who is the executor of the will. If you're running into problems about who should be living in the home, then you should see who will qualify for the responsibilty of owning a home. More than likely whom ever takes over the home will have to cash-out equity of the property to pay off the siblings or pay the siblings out of pocket. I hope this helps...
