My sister and I inherited my father's home. She wants to buy out my interest in the property; however, she wants credit for half of 6% which represents what she believes should be realtor fees. This property is mortgage free, we are not using a realtor. What is the precedent for her believing I owe her realtor fees when there is no realtor? She said her appraiser told her to ask for realtor fees credit.

Hi Linda!

Welcome to forums!

If the property is free and clear, then I don't think there will be any kind of realtor fees. You should have a word with your attorney in order to sort out this matter.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

Hi Linda Harmon,

Welcome to Mortgage fit,

IF title is free then I won't think there is any sort of fees associated with it...Now here is the second point...Who is in need of this property?? Obviously your sibling..So she should be ready to pay the realtor's fee if at all it is there..so you don't budge a centimeter from your stance and everything will be fine..you will get what you deserve...

Feel free to ask any further query if you have...
