My partner and I separaed 2 years ago and we have a joint ownership of the house. I agreed that he will buy me out for certain amount. He then applied to the bank to transfer the mortgage on his name. The bank approved the transfer of mortagage on his name. Then he told me that he owned the propery now, is that possible? As far as I am aware, I never sign any transfer of deeds. Please help.... Thanks.

pdwood, from what you've described, there doesn't appear to be any way he could be the sole owner. a simple method to figure this out would be to visit the local registrar of deeds (town hall, city hall, county clerk's office - depending on where you live).
