My husband is adopted and his Dad gave him the plot..

How do we go about legally obtaining it what forms to fill out is it a gift........... or as a rent to own.....or ......Help.. we stiil on his land but we just a a lot i don't know

You have mentioned that your husband's father gave him a plot. I guess, your husband's father must have transferred the property with the help of a quitclaim deed. You'll have to notarize and record the property deed at the county recorder's office. This will make the deed valid.
