My landlord recently have gotten ill and gave a deed for his property to his son. The promblem is my landlord daughter is upset about this and wants the property that Iam renting. My question is can she take the propety from him (son) ? And if so does she have to honor my lease? The father currently lives with the daughter but the son has power of attorney. Any information will be appericated.

Hi patty!

Welcome to forums!

The son will have to transfer the property to the daughter. If he does so, then she would be able to claim the property as her own. You have signed an agreement with the father but not with the daughter. As far as I know, you'll have to sign a new lease agreement with the daughter. It would be better if you could take the help of an attorney in this regard.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
