Cody Smith Guest	Posted: Mon Sep 15, 2008 5:52 pm    Post subject: Transfer of mortaged property Like 0 Dislike 0 Recently, unknown to me, my sister who had power of attorney over my mother, transferred her house to my sister and me. Since then, my mother passed away. I have not signed anything but found out the house has a rather large mortage against it. Am I liable for the mortgage?
