I have prpperty with my soon to be ex that is not paid off and up for sale and also has a lien on it. A family member is living there that needs to get out but wont leave. They have a deed from y ex. That deed is not valid if we have a lien right?

Hi Guest!

Welcome to forums!

Though there is a lien on the property, it can be transferred from one person to another. However, after the property transfer, the new owner becomes responsible for paying off the lien.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
