i was left property next to someone who has rights to live there until she expires. i need the deeed for the land to begin building a home .the home becomes mine if she expires before me or my spouse. how soon can i prove ownership of the land left to me?can i get a copy of the will?

You were left the property through a will, right? Has the will been probated? If it has been probated, you have a legal ownership to the property. If your name has been added to the title to the land, you do not have to prove your ownership. You can build a home on the land you legally own. However, since the other person has life estate rights to the property, you cannot ask her to leave the property. As far as the will is concerned, you should get a copy of it as you are now a legal owner of the property.
