i am not on our new home's mortgage or deed. how can i make sure i get the house if my spouse were to die before me. i wasnt used in purchasing this house because my credit fico score was too low. my husband and i want to add my name to the deed but dont think the lender will approve we have only been in house 2 months. can he write a will that if anything happens at his death i will have the house..or the opportunity to finish paying for it?

you most definitely can write a will that will protect you...indeed, you ought to write a will. every married couple ought to have that protection. adding you to the deed will make you an owner, but it may also cause your lender to request payment in full. as long as payments remain current, that won't necessarily happen, but why risk it?

go for a will and do it soon.
