Since the woman passed. My mother went to the title company to get a copy of the deed and they told her that they no longer possesed the deed to the land. What should she do? when the woman who possessed the deed says she no longer has it?

The woman from whom your mother purchased the property is deceased now. In that case, your mother should contact a real estate attorney and take his opinion in this regard.
