ncnorm Joined: 20 Mar 2010 Posts: 1 1.00 Dollars($)	Posted: Sat Mar 20, 2010 7:54 am    Post subject: father passed away mother needs help Like 0 Dislike 0 my father passed away this pass feb. my mother was being taken care of by my father she now lives with my sister in La. my sister is in remission from breast cancer. having a hard time. have a sitter before long mother is going to have to go in a nursing home what are we my sister and myself allowed to do heard we can receive gift from mother not sure of the amount , she knows she will be entering a nursing home sometime an she don,t want the nursing home to take everthing she has a nest egg from father of $200,000.00 cannot find a lawyer in my area to talk to to see what we can have an not do not want to break the law need help

It will not make her ineligible for the medicaid benefits if she returns to her property or in her absence, any of her relatives occupy it.
