is there a way to take a name off a deed if the person hasnt lived there or paid their part of a morgage in 2yrs?? My boyfriend is the only one paying the morgage on the house he and his ex-fiance were living in together and he wants her name off the deed. she hasnt lived there in 2yrs or paid anything for morgage.

Hi tatoodangel,

Welcome to Mortgage fit,

Without the permission of the person whose name is on the deed you can not remove his/her name from the deed...If he/she signs the quitclaim deed to you then only it can be completely transferred to your boyfriend...Apart from this there is no any other alternative...

Feel free to ask any further query if you have....
