My home is owned outright. The deed has 7 siblings name on it. One of the siblings would like his name removed and one of the siblings is deceased. What do we need to do to get the names removed.

Hi mountaindew,

The sibling who wants to remove his name from the property deed should sign a quitclaim deed and transfer the property to the other siblings. Once he signs the deed, get it notarized and recorded. As far as the deceased sibling is concerned, you can file his death certificate at the county recorder's office and get his name removed from the property deed.

Thanks
