I was raised by my grandparents. My mother was around, but not alot. I was never adopted by my grandparents because they were did not want to "take me away" from my mother. I lived with them my entire life, they raised me as their own. They suppored me fully just as if I were their child, my mother did not contribute. My grandparents died about a year ago. They had no will. My mother took everything and said it was hers. She sold a piece of land that my grandfather had. She has moved into their home.
My question is this...do I have any legal standing to sue her for half of my grandparents estate.

Hi Guest,

Your mother is the legal heir to your grandparents' property as they hadn't adopted you. As far as I can understand, you won't have any legal standing to sue your mother for half of your grandparents' estate. Nevertheless, you should contact a real estate attorney and take his/her opinion in this matter.

Hello guest!

Yes, this is possible, and has been done.
