My mother died two months ago and my stepfather gave me probate papers to sign and told me i had to sign over my moms part to him and that if i dont that when he dies rhe property has to be sold ..i'm so confused i don't want to sign the papers do i have to

Hi Guest,

No one can force you sign the papers unless you want to. I think you should not sign over the property interest to him. Once you sign over the property to him, you will not have any rights to the property. You can get the probate papers reviewed by an attorney to find what exactly is written there. You can then decide whether or not you should sign the papers.
