My husband and I separated 5 years ago. I signed a quit deed to the home property after he bought me out . He then re-financed in only his name. The state of New Mexico (Sandoval County) still has my name on the property taxes and states that the original quit deed is not adequate to take my name off the paperwork. What do I need? (We stay married for Health Care Insurance) Thanks.. I live in Arizona.

Hi vconi!

Welcome to forums!

As far as I know, the quitclaim deed should be sufficient enough to remove your name from the property taxes. I will suggest you to contact and ask them what other documents they will require in order to remove your name from the property taxes. Once they let you know that, you can submit the required documents and remove your name from the tax docs.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
