Hi carol,

You'll have to ask your partner to sign a quit claim deed and add your name to the property title. Once your partner does so, you would become one of the owners of the property. After the deed is filled out, make sure to notarize it and record it at the county recorder's office.

Thanks
Miss C Proctor

Hi Miss C Proctor!

Welcome to forums!

Your partner can contact a real estate attorney who will help him drafting a quit claim deed and also let him know the proper way to fill it out. Sample quit claim deed forms are also available and he can check them out to transfer property.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
