Hi, I just purchased a home. The lender required my husband to sign an interspousal transfer deed because he is not on the loan due to his imigration status. I want to allow him to be on the deed to the property. What do I need to do?

Hi jenibavon,

If your husband signs an inter-spousal transfer deed, then he will give away all his rights to the property. However, you can add him to the property deed with the help of a quit claim deed. As you've mentioned that he has immigration status, I would suggest you to have a word with your attorney and then take any further steps.

Thanks
