I was divorced last year, and the property was quick deeded to me. My ex is the only one on the mortgage. I can prove that the mtg paymets have been made by me for the last year and a half.
My ex has filed for divorce, and because he is the only one on the mortgage, and because of the fall of the market in real estate, refinancing isn't an option at this time, to remove his name.
Because of the bankruptcy, will the mortgage lender take the home, even though it was qick deeded to me and I've been making the payments and I am not able to refinance at this time?

Welcome cathey,

The lender will want you to transfer the mortgage in your name as the property is in your name. If your ex has filed bankruptcy and included the mortgage in it, then he will receive a discharge from it and you may become solely responsible for the mortgage.

Thanks
