My husband and I have been apart for four years. He as not paid the mortgage and needs to do a modification. he and the mortgage co want me to do a quickclaim. If he sells the house in the future will I have any rights to 50% since I am still financially responsible for the mortgage?

Hi tdmaxie!

Welcome to forums!

If your name is removed from the property deed, then you won't be able to claim 50% equity in the property as you won't be considered as the owner of the property.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
