Hi! can u pls advise. My grandmother wants to give her property to me (House & Lot), but my mother wants to get, so my grandmother decided to make a documents that her property will give to me. We went to Attorney, and he make a Deed of Quitclaim. But, they said it is much better with the Dee of Absolute Sale? Do think it is better?

Hi marlene,

Welcome to Mortgage fit,

Deed of absolute sale is surely advisable because if the property is directly transferred to you as a quitclaim, your mother may object it in the court but if your grandmother sell the property to you...your mom will not have any standing on it...thus you should go along with your attorney's suggestion....

Feel free to ask any further query if you have........

Hi marlene!

Welcome to forums!

If the property is free and clear and is being sold off to you, then a warranty deed can also be used in order to get the property transferred to you. This will make you the sole owner of the property and there won't be any dispute regarding the ownership.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
