I own a timeshare in St Maarten . I have had it for 20 years and have enjoyed it. A new company took it over that is based in Las Vegas Nevada. They have doubled the mnt fees.If I quit claim this over to new resort owner do I have to get it filed in Las Vegas or St Maarten? Any advice? Can I just fill out the form and send it instead of this coming years mnt fee. My timeshare is actually a 85 year lease hold.

Hi sandyp!

Welcome to forums!

As the timeshare is located in St. Marten, you'll have to file the quitclaim deed at St. Marten's county recorder's office.

I own at a resort that has been contacted by the homeowners association because of complaints from owners or vistors. They are in the red because not all owners are paying MF like they should. As an owner, we were contacted by a company representing this resort to sign a deed of release. Does the owners have to pay to give the ownership back to the company?

Welcome Thelma,

If you are paying the dues on time, then you shouldn't have to give away the ownership back to the company. You should speak to the concerned authorities in this regard and try to resolve the matter.
