My husband and I were married 34 yrs-got a divorce-found out I'm not on note-never knew it. I signed all the papers, but I did find out I'm on title and deed-he never did a quit claims deed. I'm I entitled to anything?

You should check out the property papers in order to find out whether or not your name is mentioned on it. If your name is mentioned on the property deed, then you will be considered as one of the owners of the property and you will be able to claim your share of the property. If your name is not mentioned on the property deed, then you won't be entitled to anything.

Hi Guest!

Welcome to forums!

If your name is mentioned on the property deed, then you will be considered as the owner of the property. You will be entitled to claim your share of the money if the property is sold off in the future.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

Welcome Guest,

If he signs a quitclaim deed and transfers the property solely to you, then you will become the sole owner of the property and he won't be able to claim any ownership rights in that property.

If your husband signs a quit claim deed and transfers the property to you then the only owner for that property will be you and he will not be able to claim any ownership rights for that property.
