Like 0 Dislike 0 military relocation, do we sell our home which is now worth less than we owe or do we rent it out? and if we sell, do we have to pay the rest owed at closing? please help, we have no clue! If you sell off the property, then you'll have to pay off the mortgage dues in full at the time of the closing. If you plan to return to the present state where your property is located, then it's better to rent off the property rather than selling it off. Feel free to ask if you've further queries. Sussane
