hi i have been paying morgage on my home for the past 4 years since i have been separated from my husband i need to know take his name out the deeds as he has not even tryed to pay a bit towards the morgage how do i go about it?
Simply ask your husband to sign the quitclaim deed for you. While separating you might have some decree which both party might have agreed.Surely there should have been some mention about the ownership of the house after divorce.
So it will be lot easier if he sign the quitclaim on his own without going to the court.

Hi efzal_iqbal,

You can remove your ex-husband's name from the property deed with the help of a quitclaim deed. If the mortgage has both the names, then you should refinance the loan in your name and relieve him from the liability of paying the dues.
