My name recently was put on a deed to a house that I dont live in. Its on the deed with someone else. Now I want my name off the deed. How do I go about that? How much will it cost me?

Hi rubyeyez22,

Sign a quit claim deed by help of your attorney & you can get your name off from property deed. It will cost you several $.

The thing is that I never signed any form to get my name on the deed...is that right? they did everything verbal....

transferring ownership interest in property cannot be done verbally. you and the other party can verbally agree, but it takes a deed to grant you ownership.

please follow gunz' advice and seek out legal counsel to help you.

If the agreement is verbal, there is nothign legally documented

How can you remove a name off the deed if the name is not on the deed

you should do legal documentation verbal communication will not be treated as legal baseline.

A quitclaim deed will remove you from title, if you are officially on title or not.
