A property deed will be required in order to get the property transferred. Apart from this, the new buyer should check out whether or not there is any lien on the property. He/she should also check whether or not there are any title issues related to the property. He/she should buy the property only when the property is free and clear.

Real property interests are transferred by deed. The deed must specify the type of transfer, the parties, be signed and notarized by the Grantor, and be delivered to the Grantee.
