The day i paid my last car note, captial one said i still owe 1500.00 which was untrue, a lawyer said pay them than sue. I was unemployed for a year and continue to pay them 100.
a month from my unemployment, till i got it down to 900 dollars. Now it's shown a written off amount on my credit report for 900.00. I took a job for 400.00 less and would like to get my car title do not want car repo ive had since 2000 what can i do help

Hi laquitawebb,

Unless you pay the dues in full, you won't be able to get the car title free and clear. You should contact your lender and check out why they have written off the amount when you were paying off the loan. I guess the loan account has been charged off. In that case, you can request the lender to call back the account from collections. Once he does so, you can start paying off the dues.
