I was told by someone at the resort that I could send a letter stating that I wanted to have my fully paid off timeshare property deeded back to the resort "in lieu of fees" and I would have no further obligations with no negative affect on my credit. Does anyone know if this is true? I noticed some posts that seemed to say otherwise. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi alawson,

As the property is free and clear, you will be able to transfer the property back to the timeshare company. In my opinion, the timeshare company would accept it.

Thanks
