Hi napierskyblue!

Welcome to forums!

You can ask the brother to show documents which can prove that your husband has taken a mortgage from him. Moreover, someone cannot place lien on your property without filing a lawsuit and getting a judgment against you. You should contact an attorney and take his opinion in this matter.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

no he has not taken that law judgement against me, he placed a lean against my property and shut t down claiming all my property..equipment and all the office equipment..one row back is worth about 200 grand..I went down to the business and noticed it was still operating, and they had changed our business checking account over to another company, and depositing our business money into that new account..they know that I don't have the funds to fight them with, because I am on social security..I call this forgery and fraud....can I sue him for suffering and stress etc.???
thanks for your reponce

Welcome pat,

If they have forged you, then you should contact an attorney and take legal help in this regard. The attorney will help you in filing a law suit against them.

I did contact a attorney, and he stated that when my court date comes up, he will out of town and set another attorney to represent me.I feel he is in with my brother-inlaw, because he[ brother-inlaw] has been taking some equipment from the shop and hiding it, so he was told ahead of time what was taking place. this is a very small corrupted town, and money talks! there isn't one attorney in this town that will go against this greedy man... so the next step wil be federal?
thanks pat..my attorney stated now, you'll get your rights, now prove the equipment etc. belongs to you...some of the equipment is thirty years old, but still in perfect condition..car lifts etc.
thanks pat
