My grandfather has land in Italy and my mom is trying to figure out how he can pass the land over to her. He has alzheimer's and is losing his memory very quickly. What papers does he have to sign, so my grandmother wouldn't get the land, in the time of his passing?

Hi Tina!

Welcome to forums!

This is something which an Italy based real estate attorney will be able to answer best.

Hello Tina?

You contact an attorney who specializes in real estate law and ask her/him to draft a new deed that meets all the requirements of a proper deed in your state. The attorney can review your situation, your needs and then explain the consequences. Deeds drafted by non-professionals can contain errors that are costly to correct IF they can be corrected.

>>He has alzheimer's and is losing his memory very quickly.

Then he's considered incompetent, and can't sign legal documents. His Power of Attorney needs to sign his documents.
