Does the transfer of title and/or Deeds of Trust and/or other encumbrances have to be recorded to be legal in all USA states.

Hi leeelliot,

It is important to record any transfer of title and/or deed of trust to make them legal. When you record such things, you let the public know that the ownership of a piece of property has changed or there has been a mortgage encumbrance on your property. After recordation, the deed of trust and/or the transfer of ownership become legally valid and help you avoid any dispute in future.
