leaving property in my will

I would like to leave my house to my Son when I pass on but as there is still a mortgage on it would I be able to do this or would the mortgage company claim it, can i find a way to do this, there is about 19,000 pounds owing at the moment
Are you in England?
If so then I am not sure.

laws pertaining to UK are different to US.So better if you search any UK forum on mortgage.

I am in England and wondered how I stand leaving my house to my Son in my will if there is still mortgage owing, can I do this?

As we are the U.S citizens, we are aware of the laws of this country. But since the laws in the UK are different from the ones we deal with here, I'm not sure if anyone can help you with your query. I think you should post your query in any UK forum that discusses mortgage related issues.
