My boss is trying to change the name on his deed from his company's name to his personal name. Can he do a simple quit claim or does he have to go through the mortgagor?

Hi rosinausmc
Welcome to Mortgagefit,

If there are any other directors on the board of the company then their permission will be required (sign on the quitclaim deed) and an intimation about the change in this property transfer should also be informed to the registrar of companies office if it is registered under the companies act...

If these things are accomplished then there is no need to directly involve the mortgagor, but it is always advisable to inform all the concerned parties about the proposed change.

Feel free to ask any further query if you have....

DIPA

Welcome rosinausmc,

Your boss will be able to do it with the help of a quitclaim deed. It will be better if your boss could contact a real estate attorney and take his help in drafting the deed.
