Hi daniela,

Where did you get married? I believe you got married in another country and not in the United States, right? If it's true then I think the divorce will be subject to the laws of that country where you got married. The laws will vary from one country to another. So, it's best to consult a divorce attorney in this regard.

Hi,

I'm not sure if you can file divorce in the States since the marriage took place in Peru. The US laws regarding divorce might not apply to marriages that took place as the per the laws in Peru. This is why I suggest you to consult a divorce attorney who has experience in handling such cases. He would be the right person to guide you.
