It has been a while since I've been on here. I just finally got a tax lien off my credit reports and wanted to say thanks to everyone here who has given me some great advice. I can now finally persue getting a mortgage to buy a nice home and I can't wait to get started.

So what type of mortgage are you looking for? Though the market rates have lowered but still the market situation is not so good. You should speak to few lenders and then decide on taking a mortgage. This will help you in getting a fair idea about the present mortgage rates.
