Hi Syreeta,

Section 8 housing assistance program is managed by individual Housing Authorities in the various states. Each of them has different eligibility requirements for the section 8. I believe transferring the section 8 application status from Philadelphia to another state is possible and you do not have to re-apply for it in the new state. You need to contact the current Housing Authority as well as the Housing Authority in the new state and check out the requirements on how you can transfer your current application status.
