Well, folks, it's about time to update everyone.
Doing Census work the last 3 months has been far more profitable for me than being an originator, and I'm almost done with that work now. In 2 weeks, I'll become one of those everyone is swearing at - I'm going to be working in Loss Mitigation! Hah!
No matter what, I'll take the benign attitude with me, so that I'll give borrowers every possible consideration that's allowable. I won't know my limits until the 19th, so I will have to get the lay of the land to figure out how successful the modification business can be.
Still editing, still writing, still considering doing something with a credit "counseling" deal, but getting into the mitigation area is more like underwriting, and it'll pay better long-term than most of everything else I've been doing lately.
I'm not leaving here, by the way...been busy lately and not able to post as much, but I'll be around. _________________ George M. Akerley

It's really great to note that you will be working in loss mitigation. I'm sure your helping attitude will be beneficial for a large number of borrowers and they will able to save their homes from imminent foreclosure. _________________ Procrastination is the enemy of your financial success
Thanks, Adonis - I hope I can maintain my cool when some of those who are in the worst shape start cussing at me.
I will, though. It's going to be interesting, that's for sure. _________________ George M. Akerley

Its a great news that you have got a new responsibility. We are sure that you will achieve highest credentials in this area as well (Credentials does include blessings of 'thousands of suffering debtors' due to recession.)
