Hello, I am inquiring as to a quit claim deed, dated 9 yrs ago, between my 92 yr old Dad and myself,(I am his P.O.A). The Q.C. has not been filed as of yet because the taxes are much lower as long as the house is in his name. My question is... when it is filed, will I be responsible for higher rate back taxes from the date on the form? He also has a will, leaving the house to me.
Please advise.

It depends on the taxing authority.
