Hi,

Signing Quit Claim deed will add your wifes name on property deed with out adding her on mortgage. Contact your attorney to sign a quit claim deed & record it in country records to make it validate.

Thanks & regards.

If you have a mortgage on your property, you're not allowed to add people to Title, or remove anybody from Title. The mortgage note and Title need to agree with each other. Using a Quit Claim deed to add/remove anybody will impact the due-on-clause and the lender can call your note due and payable immediately.

Last answer was a bit off the mark. Real disservice to you. VERY common to have those on note and mortgage different. Most often one spouse is “high risk” for judgments (e.g., a medical doctor) or one spouse has a low FICO and you don’t want the “hits” (LLPAs) for underwriting on note.
