My parent just purchased a house for me but I am paying for it. How do they or what is it called when they put it in my name. When does he/she do this. My sibs are not in on this.
hello,
your father can add you to the deed via a properly executed quit claim deed that has been filed and recorded.
hope this helps.

Hi commbldinc,
If your parents want to put the house deed in your name, they need to sign over the title to you through a quit claim deed. They need to sign the deed as grantors and you will be referred to grantee. A notary needs to sign the deed as well to make it valid. Then, the deed has to be recorded with the county recorders office.
